An all inclusive community, that recognizes the only way to have a truly civilized society, is by recognizing the rights of others. An alliance in social diversity.
As someone who came out late in life, as transgender. I found it difficult to socialize. I never did well in social situations. This only made socializing more difficult. I tried everything, support groups, concealing, counseling.
So I pushed myself and meet new people. Through social media and community events. As I went out on my own. I found acquaintances alone the way and those that would be my foe. Gradually a coffee chat was formed. From there we formed a social group, Delaware Socialites, as safe harbor, to which all are welcome, who are without prejudice.
We can sit and pine away, or we can accept and go on. We can watch people suffer or we can help to ease their pain. To be truly civilized is to understand the needs of others.

OUR MISSION
Out With Friends is help system for those that, whatever the reason, feel awkward in social settings. They may find it difficult to make new friends. Often they suffer in silence and can become depressed. Depression can lead to death. Sometimes a smile and a kind word can make someone's day.
There are may reasons a person may feel awkward in social settings. They may be an introvert, and may just prefer to be alone. However, they may have just lost a spouse and their only friend, or may be new in town. You may be coming out, in regards to your sexuality or gender, or have been in an auto accident that changed you life style, or just feel uncomfortable in public settings.
Whatever the reason, Out With Friends, was conceived for those looking for a harbor. The concept is to bring together an alliance of people that believe in equality for all. That are emphatic and understand to the needs of others. That know a truly civilized society, can only be obtained by recognizing the needs of others.
Out With Friends Mission is simply an alliance of people, that care about life and living, coming together to create environment of good will through understanding.
So, if you know someone that could use a good kick in the pants as they say, use this page to find an activity or event, grab a friend and get them out and mingling. Maybe you are already a socialite, then join one our groups, and make some new friends. If you’re not a socialite, joining one of our group is the first step in becoming one, just find and event and invite someone to attend with you...
